So I've been looking for some paddles and ran up on these. Of course there in Cali, too far to go take a look. He sent some good pics, thoughts. $350 tire and wheel shipped.

Just so they don't have any plugs in them. A nick out of a paddle or two's not bad.

So should you use patches on inside of tire for a proper repair? 3rd pic shows a knick in sidewall, but they do hold air and he said while not new they are in good shape and no plugs.

I would run a tube before I would plug. IMO.

I don't know what they are new, but with the beadlocks that seems like a deal.

The beadlock wheels would run close to that price, the tires are about $200 ea shipped. Think I'm going to jump on 'em. I got other iron in the fire to worry with. rofl rofl rofl

FedEx has these tires and wheels, should be here by end of week. I'll post up my thought once I actually see in person. Never bought anything used from across country couldn't see 1st. Hopefully I will love 'em.

25" They worked ok in sand, as long as you flip them around where they pull sand in instead of throwing it out. Stuck twice before I invented this great new wonderful idea. rofl Dumbass rofl

Fedex came to see me jj: These things look great!! Wheels are in new condition and tires only have a couple small spots. At 5 psi these things measure out at 27" tall and my dirt tires are only 24" so a little extra clearance is a bonus. Now to take and have them drilled for my bolt pattern, nothing like modifing new stuff. bs1

yea i hear ya..!!! ive had many rims drilled... finally changing my hubs to match a common atv pattern..lol
so carl, does your buggy have enough umph to power those tall meats through the sand? thats what i worry about when im looking at paddles to buy :'(

Find a paddle of the same effective radius as you have now. If given a choice on width go narrower if power is a possible issue.

Also the paddles and new wheels are half the weight of the mudders. Wheels drilled and bolted up. Between the tires wheels and lightened rear hubs I've lost 25lbs of rotating mass on ea rear side. They will spin up just fine.

I said EFFECTIVE radius. The paddle height should not be considered as part of the tire height/radius when trying to match up to a comparable bearclaw. That 22" tall paddle less paddle height will be approx 20.5 inch effective radius. A 25" paddle will be approx 23.5" depending on wheel width and pressure run at.

IMO, I would run 6 - 8 PSI, to get the paddle as flat as possible. If you feel at LS that you don't have enough wheel speed, just put more air in and the paddles will curve like an arc and don't have so much bite. 8) 8) 8)

For a small ATV tire 5 pounds is a good starting point IMO. BUT whatever works is what is right.

2nd issue. These wheels dont have enough offset and only about 1/2" from trailing arm. Be fine rolling easy but plan on something more. So I was looking at some wheel spacers and ran up on some nylon one. Cheap like $20 pair. Any experience out there, thinking 1.5" per side.

No way in hell IMO on the nylon thingies. I don't see the issue with the 1/2 inch clearance you have.

They would have a more solid contact surface, better??
Afraid the tire wheels will flex enough to rub the arms, might only be 1/4".

I am not seeing a problem with the .5 inch clearance that you have. If the wheel is going to flex that much there is a bigger problem. I have less then that on my big car and not had it rub or hit. I know my rim's are thicker but still. As long as it maintains the .5 from top to bottom you golden.

same here carl.. my rears are those flimsy aluminum rims and there has always only been about .24 -.5" clearance between wheel and shock... never been an issue.
