Well,thanks to enemy and some other folks at suzukihayabusa.org I'm FINALLY closing in on a decent tune for the turbo busa. Been having a HUGE problem with it running pig rich off boost and fouling plugs no matter what the fuel pressure was set at.In desparation I lowered it from 43psi to 25psi. Viola! The thing idled great and ran fine but EXTREMELY lean,in the 18:1 range. Unacceptable to say the least. Can anyone say melted pistons?  rofl Anyway I decided no matter what it needs to be at approx 43psi for a busa stock FI map to be right. Period. So,I bump it back up to 43 and ,WTF?,the damn thing idles fine and doesn't now foul the plugs. Oh well,stranger things have happened.  eyes So,I load up a map for the supplemental fuel system for the turbo on boost provided by enemy and add 10% injector fire time across the board 3 times and this thing is now very close to a good tune. SOB these busas do run for sure. My car is quite heavy compared to most here and built more for desert type use. Even so this thing is now a blast to drive. Won't be the highest top speed but it accelerates quite well for a dinky 1.3 liter crotch rocket engine .  Just wait till the real turbo motor is in it running 16+ psi boost. Hell I'm at just 6 pounds now. Busas will gain approx 10 HP per psi of boost sooooooo add 60 -160 P to the stock 160(realistic,not the 175 advertised crap) you got a nice package. I will shoot for 25+psi boost later. Thanks for the starter base map enemy. 8)

Unless this thing melts down between now and then I'm gonna have a bit of fun-assuming the neck will take it by then. Just a bit of driving around on the blacktop yesterday and today has me a bit pained. Guess I should have turned on the electric power steering. eyes

All this boost talk is making me think about a turbo for my 3.8. GM did it for the grand national. Hmmmmm???? Got to try and keep up with you guys.

Honestly guys,I'm under no illusions that my car is "fast" by any means. It's heavy and and geared low enough to make it accel plenty satisfactorily but on the flats I'll need to spin it pretty high to keep up with some of you guys for sure.
