I used a flap wheel and glass beeder to get the carbon off.

Unfortunately it's too late now !  :'(
I wouldn't have been able to blast or sand because I never really opened up the pipe. Good point about burning it though. I'll remember that for the next time.
BTW, what tranny did you use on you buggy ??We're running the stock Odyssey trans, but the 10:1 ratio is a bit of a pain.

Mine is a Pilot and I am running the stock gear box with a new 2 piece output shaft to accomadate the 1" keyed Clutch shaft.

I just finished machining the 2 piece adapter, and used a 3/4 flange bearing to support the end. Looks like it will work fine.
Pilots are very rare here in Canada, because for some reason Honda decided not to sell them here.
I wish one of the big manufacturers would build a single seat buggy like the Pilot, but with todays technology. I would buy one, because it's a whole lot easier than to design and build them myself.

You and me both. I used to watch the china buggy site hoping for a Pilot replacement, but lost hope of one coming from there.

Yeah, I haven't driven one, but the Revolt doesn't impress me. It is the right size, though.
