Yeah Foghorn was as cool as the other side of ya pillow! He was also very inteeligent,"Sharrrp,as a Bowlin' Ball!" ;D
Yeah it's mid summer here now, that day was round 90F,but we had a 110F leading into the weekend.WA(West Aust) has a fantastic all year round climate.
Doug that's an Ol' sand pit, people get their yellow sand from there for building etc. It's kinda wierd cause the natural dirt is very red clay type, but in the bush is this yellow sand deposit, and up the track a bit is a pure white sand deposit. It's a small country town bout 1hr NE of Perth.I will keep taking vids/pics when I go up there?
Here's a quick vid(I call it Da Fly!) from another country town bout 2.5 hrs N of Perth at a Mate's Farming property, has his own track. He just built this jump that day was trialling it...and my suspension.I will look for better vids later and post.

Nice jump prep and VERY nice car attitude jumping it!! NICE!!!

Thanks for the cornering advice, but I have already tried it and the way I drive now works for me.Ever since ive been racing here, the last couple of years,Ive always had the smallest, least powered buggies.I thrive on pushing myself with a small powered buggy, rather than being pushed along by a high Whorespower buggy. The fun is from finding/creating a driving style from what you've gotto work with. From the 1st stock Pilot 30hp?,to the LT500 50hp?and now the Drak at 100hp.I have been fairly successful taking the 2nd place trophy for the Summer series in the Superlites divi against zx9 piranhas,BusaCudas,Mongeese etc,3rd place trophy for overall divi's,and 1st place trophy for winning all 5 races on an expanded/extended course at the Anzac Test Weekend April. Also 2nd fastest lap time at Harvey track, and that was with a spun bolt, cover on the Powerbloc clutch, totally malfunctioning, was like taking off driving around with the chokes on.
I'm NOT blowing my own trumpet, but just showing it works for me.

Dirt racing is NOT a precise art, so many variables (where is that hard packed dirt or where is that looser stuff?).

Baz has created his style and it works for him (obviously very well), I think driving well is as much about confidence as it is ability (perhaps, maybe sometimes  ;D).

At one race in Kempsey we start 4 cars at once and often we would take 4 differing lines into the first corner. Just depends upon what the track surface is like, what tyres you got on etc....

You have to walk a mile in a mans shoes afore you comment....

Then you are a mile away and have his shoes!

WOW! Removed replies! :o
Did I miss something? ??? Let the conspiracy theorists begin! ;)
Boost was just expressing his opinion, tis what forum's are all about.
We all had our say,but no need to rehash or flog a dead horse.
Did he,someone have a big dummy spit? Pertew! ???
Anyway, just wanna say I'm fine with it all,no probs my end.
I just enjoy and am proud of showing our Downunder guys racing vids. All of the drivers and their buggies are reaching new levels constantly.
We are a small fledgling race group, battling govt's,shires rules and regs,do gooders, low numbers etc,but have a hell of a time at Northam Raceway.
I can't believe that there are'nt more US guys with race vids. You have the biggest buggy population, racing venues etc.Apart from Dave C's,there does'nt seem to be much around.Speakin' of Dave,PULL ya finger out Mate!  :o Get that Mighty Pilot goin' again, kick ass,and show ME da Vids! ;D.....THEN win Looto,so that you can ALL come Downunder and show us how to get round these corners the quickest! :-X ;D

SPec stepped in a big ol' pile of FUBAR.  LOL!!! there was not anything really going wrong. He wanted to split the topic and lost the posts.Beginners luck I guess. Yes giving opinions is ENCOURAGED here.As our rules state ,we will not all agree but that's OK here.
