Hello from Kansas
« on: June 19, 2013, 02:02:59 PM »
Finally joined the site....  Hello to everyone.

I see many names recognizable from GlamisDunes.  Anyhow looks like a fair amount of locals are on this forum.  Looking forward to meeting everyone but most importantly going on a trip to St. Anthony's ID if that day ever arrives...  I have met Dsrace at least, sold some seats to him a year ago I believe.

Working on trying to piece together a new S&S Sandcar, hope to have it going by October/November 2013.  Long ways to go....   ;D

Welcome to the madness!!  If you've met DS then you should fit right in.  rofl rofl  Hutchinson, I think is the Neb boyz pee, gas, girlfriend stop on way to LS Ok.  Throw up some more pics of the build as you go, not that it looks like you need any help.  Nice looking car!

You better hide the little 70 from the GD peeps.

Thanks!

Yup Hutchinson, not much here...

My old man only has 8 of the little 70's, he has issues collecting them for some reason.  Even a full suspension 70cc!

This will be my 2nd long travel sandcar.  First one was a American Sand Toys with a 3.8L SC powerplant.  Parted it out to begin the new S&S build.

The S&S will be powered by a 5.3 L33 with a cam and ECM tune.  Had the S&S frame now for over a year and not made much progress.

Is this an S&S out of Wichita or San Diego ca?  We have an S&S just down the road from my shop in in Wichita.  They are the ones that built the ambulance for Waynoka.  They make a nice car.  Welcome to the madness and looking forward to running with you some time at LS.  Being fro Hutch you probably rub elbows with Phil Jackson.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

The S&S frame was built by Kyle out of Glendale, AZ.  I do have a buddy who is building a S&S Sandsports car as well in Cheney, KS.

Looking through some older posts from Fastcoarvairs I spotted a picture of Jerry Cass jumping!  Known him for many years back in the day when VW's powered buggy's was all that existed and "Water Pumpers" were looked down upon....

Anyhow, I will tell my dad to line up all the 70's and snap some pictures.

Jerry is definitely one of the good guys.
