heres Lees rather unusual entry method into his pilot,  just stand in the back of the van and dive in through the pilot front window

Only time i have seen that is when it was running extra lean, causing it to diesel. they generally run lean in the midrange to, probbaly were you are using it the most. watch the carb boots extremly close if they  are oem, did you ever get vforce to replace the set u asked about a few months back?

If you havent done so chop the plug and check it out, it certainly does not sound over rich in the midrange... ;D Im not sure why else the lanyard would not work properly...

I found on dirtbikes that a lean condition and the motor above a certain RPM is unstoppable.  Can happen when you run out of gas.  However, I have seen a heavier gauge kill wire and better switch solve the problem on a motor that wasn't high reving.

Are the brakes on there hand controlled, or foot?

Looks like a ton of fun.

Its a problem on tickover as well, I can understand the kill switch and ignition switch (key) possably not working because of my dodgy wireing ;D but the ski doo cdi unit has a laynard built in that when pulled off  should not let the engine rev enough to engauge the clutch and the laynard is coded to the cdi for security.
Not sure what you know about pilots so, The standard pilot has no pedals at all all the controls are on the wheel, the break lever on the left controlls the single brake disc on the rear and the brake lever on the right controlls both front brakes.
On this 800 pilot because I have a diff I wanted fiddle/cutter brakes so I have put 2 small pedals etc on the floor for my feet to operate (its all a bit tight) and the right brake lever still controlls the front brakes. The eft lever is not in use at the moment but what I want to do is use the left lever for the left front wheel and the right lever for the right front wheel, this will give me more power for the "drum" :o front brakes.I have mounted 2 small disc brakes on to the inner cv,s

Oh Yes it is fun but you know the next crash is not far away
What is good is with all the power if you come up to a steep faced jump and in a standard pilot you would nose dive on landing but in this you can put the power on (like you would on a mx bike) and land level or on the rear wheels.
