Well it was a thought. Can you remove the cage on the prowler? Doesn't it bolt on?

Single axle trailers start to pogo stick to much as they get longer. They are also more prone to whip on you. I have a single under my boat, only 16ft. Boat can get away with a little more since their weight is usually very biased to the rear. My axle is about 2 feet from the rear and I still have a very light tongue till we put in all the gear. Tandem is just more stable, triples are bit of a nightmare.
What's wrong with triple axles? I've not ever had any issue with one.Or did you mean triple as in towing 2 trailers?

Triples tend to go through tires more because of the scrub on turns. A friend had a camper on triples(3 5k axles) and hated it. He said it pulled hard, he bought a new rig, tandem (2 7k axles) same size and is delighted. The biggest benefit to a triple is you can keep some weight off the truck. But you gain rolling resistance. Tandems will scrub to before someone say that but it is only 2 axles scrubbing vs 3. When I ordered my new trailer I got tandem 7k axles, that lifts the trailer up so can get through dips with less chance of bottoming out and I only have to maintain 4 tires.

To each his own.
I'm with you Master on this one. I can see if some one was trying to bumper pull a triple they would not like. it needs to be a goose neck or a 5th-wheel.
And yes with the triple you have to watch where your at.  Don't get your self into to tight of a spot where you have to come around real sharp.  but once you have towed with a triple it's hard to go back to a tandem. The triple carries the load much more smoothly then a pogo stix-en twin.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

What?  Clarify that last.  Did it have just two axle's? One front one back with a space in between>

Yes that is correct. 2 axles with triple spacing. What I meant tho was the trailer is no more since it burned to the ground along with all my sand toys a year and a half ago.

I take it then your insurance man forgot to tell you about the content of said trailer is not covered when something like this happens. That sucks.  Good to see you bouncing back.

No,not exactly. He said everything was covered. He never got me the coverage and then lied about saying I was covered. Boiled down to his word against mine.Every lawyer I spoke with said I had less than a 50/50 chance of winning  with a 25-30K price tag to get it before a jury.
