It has been said the firefighters had found the couple and the younger fighter was looking for a way out when the roof collapsed.   Ya,it was just a 1/2 block south of our place. Right across the street south of Zook's Grocery.

I have several close friends that are volunteer firefighters. They all do it out of a sense of duty to the community for a whopping $8 per run no matter how long it takes. They damn sure don't do it for the $$$. Most of the time they say it's for the fun of it-till tragedy strikes and drives home just how dangerous their fun really is. These people deserve more than just a pat on the back and a few bux.
