Desert Trail and Sand Fabricators, Forum Rules:( READ BEFORE YOU POST)
* Whining is not socially acceptable behavior, even for 2-year olds.
* Everyone is entitled to their own opinion... regardless of how stupid it is.
* Everyone is entitled to be offended by anybodies opinion.
* Everyone have as much right to their own opinion as everyone else does to be offended by that opinion.
* Everyone has as much right to act like as a**hole as everyone else does to treat them like an a**hole.
* Everyone is entitled to an equal opportunity to say things that make them look stupid and/or ignorant (there IS a difference).
* You don't need to agree with everyone... not everyone will agree with you. GUARANTEED
* You don't need to like everyone... not everyone will like you. ALSO GUARANTEED
* The fact that you may feel really, really strongly about your religion/politics/country/pet/etc does not make your opinion of said topic any more right or important than anyone else's.
* Please DO NOT start WWIII here.
WITH THAT SAID THESE ARE THE FORUM RULES-ABIDE BY THEM
Offending posts will be deleted, and in extreme cases, users will be banned. It is your responsibility to read and follow these rules . "I didn't know", or "I didn't see the rules" is not a valid excuse.
If you are new to the forums, please lurk before posting. This will give you a good idea of what is acceptable and unacceptable posting in practice.
1. Whining/Trolling : If you don't like a thread, simply do not reply. Pointing out how useless you feel a thread is will result in your post being deleted, and after constant trolling, a ban. If a thread is terrible, it will either be deleted, or sink to the bottom of the forum without your help.
2. Personal Conflicts and Threats : Flames and other pissing contests must be confined to Private Messages. Persistent offenders will be banned. Any threats made to any user will result in the user being permanently banned from the entire site.
3. Moderator Harassment : Any form of moderator harassment including insults, doing the opposite of something you were asked to do, re-posting a thread that was deleted, complaining about a custom title, or protesting a ban, will result in a ban.
4. Offensive Images : Keep all disgusting, pornographic, and racist pictures off of our forum and at your own home. This will result in an immediate ban if posted here. If the image is borderline, we will delete it and warn you with a Private Message. We all know where that line is.
5. Thread Derailing : Do not turn a good thread into off-topic banter. Many threads leading to good information have been destroyed by such posts. These will be promptly deleted, so please start your own thread instead. Off topic chat is OK in "The Lounge".
6. Solicitation : Do not use this forum as a means of blatantly promoting a product, or generating traffic to your website. Offending posts will be deleted or the user will be banned. It is perfectly OK to link new videos or photos hosted on your own website, or show detail photos of a new suspension your shop created. However, we do not tolerate blatant advertising.
7. ALL CAPS POSTS : Typing with caps lock on is extremely annoying and implies that you are yelling at the readers. This bulletin board has been set to not allow posting in all caps.
8. Warez/Illegal Software : Posts requesting unlicensed software will be deleted immediately. Piracy is very thin ice for web hosting providers, and they have the power to shut sites down if the TOS are broken. Where you get your software is not our concern, however, it is not to be discussed or traded publicly on this board.EVER!!!
9. AOL Speak : There is nothing wrong with the occasional abbreviation like 'lol', 'imho', etc. But when users start composing three paragraph posts written entirely in abbreviation like: "i would like 2 c u l8r k?", it is hard to take the poster seriously. This is by no means a grammar class, but it would greatly improve the readability and credibility of posts if they were written properly. Please consider this if you would like a straight answer or to be taken seriously. Offending posts will be deleted if they offer no support to the thread.
10. Brand/Shop/Product Wars : All reputable fab shops make good products. If you would like someone to compare products or explain which they think is better from experience with that product. That is fine. There is no better answer or explanation than one straight from someone who has used and abused a product. But, and listen to this, "Product comparisons have a history of provoking harsh posts, low blows, and flame wars". In an effort to keep a friendly atmosphere here offending posts will be deleted, and users will be banned after constant abuse. You can discuss and compare products in a civil manner, without bashing a said company. This will be strictly enforced, so pay attention to the words you write.
11. Avatars : Avatars should not include any sort of offensive content. Offensive to who? We know you cannot please everyone all the time. But we also feel the constant whining about an avatar being offensive, can at times be as bad as the avatar in question. So please use your best judgment when choosing your avatar. Avatars determined to be offensive by the DTS staff will be removed, and if re-uploaded again by the user, they will be banned. If you want to be clever and use our "banned" avatar which we use to distinguish banned users, we will assume this means you are asking us to ban you, so we will go ahead and do that.
12. Politics : People like to debate about politics, and that is fine. Keep it to the facts, and don't lose your temper about it. If a thread degrades into personal insults and flames, it will be locked.
13. Final Word : The Owners, Admins & Moderators ultimately have final say in all situations that may arise. These rules are not all-encompassing, and are subject to modification at any time by the Owners, Admins & Moderators. Please use these rules as a guideline for your actions on these Forums.
If you do not agree to these rules, you're free to no longer visit the DesertSandTrail forums. If you do not like these rules, please do not register here, it will be better for the forum community and the owners sanity!
