Title: Big old air compressor
Post by: Carlriddle on December 17, 2009, 08:02:34 AM
Found a steal on an old Inger air compressor w/kellogg 331 pump and 80 gal tank.  Unit must weigh 1000 lbs  :o.  Motor was bad so I replaced it.  Now I am curious about the pump rotation.  Havn't found anything saying which way it should rotate.  Most single stage pumps seem to be CCW.  Its a 2 stage pump and it seems slow at filling tank.

The fins on the fan should pull air towards the cylenders...

Think he meant flywheel fan(big round wheel that spins) should force air on the fins of cylinder head.  Could be wrong, ate lots of Spec's spicy green beans, so I'm pickled. LMAO
