Title: Flanges
Post by: Boostinjdm on January 21, 2009, 03:07:15 PM
anybody have a drawing of a vw type 2/4 and/or 930 flange they would care to share?  I'm looking for the whole flange not just the flat part with the bolt pattern.

I do. What do you mainly need to know? I have them in DXF or DWG format. I have all the above!

VW type 2/4 with a spine count you can make a shaft for.  Here is the dimensions I am looking for.  I use auto cad, I would be more than happy to accept a dwg. file if you would be kind enough to post it or email it to me.  Thanks.

I'd bet money that one is longer than I'll need. ;)

I cant remember the length, i bought one originally, i think cv to cv flange ends up about 9.5", for your use, you could cut it in half and weld one cup to one side, and have the other left with the splines to take it apart... ;D It has been done before that way... The bearings go onto the cv cups them selves...

Just once, but I think she was half blind and had a peg leg.  I told her it was kinda like leftovers from supper.  I'd let her eat half tonight and I'd give her the rest tommarrow. ;D

Well, I'm curious now as to what the dimensions for the flange are? Does the 002 flange have the same dimensions as the 091 flange?

The 091 and 002 flanges both use Type 2 CVs sot he bolt pattern is the same. I am not sure if the overall length is the same, I would guess they are. There are flanges for both splines that fit the 930 CVs.
