So far all is going very well. I"m going to call Wichita Dyno to set up a date. Hopefully it won't be too far out till the dyno is moved to new home. It sounds like the 434 singing one key higher. I'm going to miss the 74 inches for sure but it is what it is for now.Probably down 100 HP. It does have noticeably quicker revs with the shorter stroke but ,of course, that also means less torque. 1:

well its all a give and take for sure. down a 100hp isn't great but not the end of the world if it will stay together!!!! ;D i hope to see this one on the sand come april or video of it before????

With the 4 stages of scavenge on the dry sump pump I have good crankcase vacuum. Don't know how much yet as I haven't hooked up the aux data logger but when the engine shuts off it sucks oil out of the dry sump tank back to the pan so it is making vac even at idle as it should. Gonna throw a mechanical guage in place of the MAP sensor on it tonitejust to see what it's pulling. The vac release is set to 14 inches supposedly. A side benefit is that I have,so far, zero oil seepage let alone small leaks. Not a single drop anywhere..............yet. :)

Awesome news, I want to see the beast out in the sand this Spring!
-
I hope/think all is going well but I thought that the last 3 tries too. :m 5:
I have the no load cells pretty damn close in the tune and I see 10" vac in the crankcase fully warmed up idling. :s
Time for the dyno.
-
i am very glad to hear that!!! i await dyno news ;D
-
Great to hear its back together. let the fun begin soon. Fingers crossed!!! With the troubles you have had every bit of luck helps.
-
I hear that!
-
ya know....with such little run time, i am not sre you will notice the tiny bit of power it might have lost from the new/better parts. this will still be a runner for sure!
-
A hundred or so hosses will be noticeable.
