Another Toyota HID conversion
« on: December 29, 2012, 04:36:15 PM »
Built some driving lights for the diesel a while back, and have been working really good, so though I might share. I have a friggin pile of these ignitors and bulbs the body guys throw out every now and then, and they have been coming in really handy! Sometimes a real PITA to harvest out of the lamp assy, but worth the effort IMO. A few more conversions in the works as well!

The lamp enclosure I'm using is the driving beam housing from a Mitsubishi Eclipse (cant remember the year) and ignitors from a Lexus RX350

Buildin up some adjustable brackets to mount em up

Nice snug fit in the factory holes! Had to cut out a small center divider is all, mounting holes already in the bumper from the factory right where I needed them drilled too  8)
 Better than in a landfill!

Cool,be SURE to not use them in Oklahoma unless visibility is less than a frogs hair. Good way to get invited to the graybar.........Long story but driving/fog lights are not normally allowed.

Kansas doesn't either but in OK you better just disconnect the effers.
