;) not my style. ;D ;D The A arms, imo ,are tried and true and with fewer disadvantages to the driveline.

+1       I'm not a fan of trailing arms myself.  this is going to be a damn nice project!!

Ya,trailing arms are tough as nails but too many compromises. To me, the only small drawback to a arms is they won't jump over a stump or rock as well as trailing arms will. Well then why not ta suspension on the front? LOL!!!! IMO, if the front a arms make it over an obstacle than the rears will also. The adjustability of a arms vs the nearly non adjustable ta's  is a no brainer to me.

Mosebilt built a rear a arm car for multi-purpose use.  Seems like it handles rocks just fine?

I truly believe in the superiority of a arms. Just because TA's are the favored way to go currently doesn't mean there's not a better way.

The torsion bars are IMO a thought well worth thinking seriously about. Always a progressive rate. Easily adjustable ride height. Low center of mass. Change bar diameter if needed and much easier than pulling a coil over off to change springs. Makes shock position easier to do.

Plus Fabr's new love, NP 930's are just about a nono with TA's.  Just build rake into rear A-arms if you want to go over stumps.

So I would really like to see this thing, really need to get your butt in gear for test rides at fall trip.  ;D

Wtih that kind of engine and power I would look at a sand rocket type design. The cheap tranny should be a selling point alone.

Heck find somone on Glamis dunes with one and fly out there and test drive it. You might be surprised how much you like it!
Your mission isn't to dive feet first into hell, but to make sure its crowded when you get there.

I am putting a bar in my buggy.  I like to slide into a turn and then nail it out.
