I finally found a source for primary wire with tracer stripe in minimum quantities that might work for me. 250 foot minimums. Quality general purpose vinyl insulated or the best crosslinked poly insulation. All 3 jacket thicknesses also available. They will do printing also. 2-3 day turnaround from order time to shipping. Not bad at all.
-
so we will know who to call for small quantities then huh!! ;D
-
If not picky about exact color combinations.

Going to keep this info a secret? ;D

Going to keep this info a secret? ;D
yup................... ;D ;D

I used Painless and it is printed for the entire length
-
I have different circuits than painless stuff. Only about 2/3 of 26 circuit harness would be printed right.I mean I have 3 separate fans to be switched just to use as an example. Painless makes some nice, high quality stuff but but for me,there are better options. Won't be a bit cheaper than a Painless harness, likely more costly but it will be a correct custom harness for this car specifically.
-
Yoshi had posted he'd found a bundled cable to extend the Busa harness with. It sucks to use the same color wire to extend 3 diff color wires because you cant find enough of them.
I'll take 20' please. ;D

i really thought auto wire would be rated for higher temps considering the temps under the hood on a 100* day with the air on and i say that cause i'm the one under those hoods while the customers stand there and tell me they have to be somewhere in 30 mins and can't be with out there car lmao
-
Those temps were in C

Take a sharpie and run a regular wire through your hand a draw a stripe down it. Red and black both work well. Silver doesn't show up to well. I can stripe 20' of wire in about 30 sec.............
-
Doesn't work well with cross lin ked insulation. It comes off. Regular PVC ,yep, done that a lot.
-
I hadn't thought about all your different devices. You will have many more than what my buggy has. The Painless is TXL.
-
Yes,Painless is of high quality but ,I have a bit of reservation using the TXL on this car. I'm going with SXL.
-
Wes,
I really do not care about the wiring, just get it done so I can drive it!!

LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm routing all my wires now. The terminals are all crimp, solder, seal connectors. I really like them. All switches are K4 triple sealed. I have to work on the start switch flip up cover. The switch lever has the rubber insulator and when you flip the cover back down it turns the switch to off. Lots to do just on the dash. Trying to make everything as modular as possible so I can take it all apart for powder at a later date.

Nice and neatly done. I have all k4 switches on current buggy. Never a problem. Used 1 on the lawn mower and it literally fell apart. Going to use something else this time with lever boots ,stem seals and do the final sealing with liquid tape this time.
-
looks good
-
Wes,
LMAO I know your reply says that but I see the little guy in the corner with his finger up too!!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D you weren't supposed to see that ,Dan!

Any recommendations for RF insulation for 16g cam/crank trigger wires? Doing a coil-on-plug setup on my truck and concerned about RF interference with these two signal wires in particular.
