Dam Dave you change engines as much as I change my underwear.  eyes eyes ;D Need to give them more of a chance to get skid marks. bs1 drowning

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Looks like you have plenty of room for at least a couple more cylinders in there!  ;)

Dont remember what 2 stroke you had, but any HP loss would be made up with added torque.  Single cylinder 650, that piston must be the size of a coffee can.

I beleive it is bored to 4.012" . 678cc. Nice intake and exhaust port work as well.

I had a 670 Rotax. So I will be down on rated hp, but we'll see how it translates to useable power.
Hemi43's 660 Raptor powered machine and mine were pretty close. I don't think i was utilizing the full potential of the 670 due to the clutch set-up, so I'm anticipating equal or better useable power with this KLX motor. Shifting will add to the fun factor.  As long as I can keep him looking at my tail light I won't be disappointed. kick

If I have to look at your tail lights, I'll be searching for a 700 EFI raptor engine. ;D

Man, I had a KLX650. Great bike, I kinda miss it.

Behold, the Christmas bike when I got a desert tank for it.

It got all green plastics shortly after that........... The red was such a horrible color......

Yeah...this pretty, and nice guy up the road did it for me.  ;)

There is 5/8" between the chain and the rotor. Not ideal maybe but should be fine. There will be a guard between them.
