Title: Mini Buggies Just died
Post by: Yummi on September 01, 2015, 08:36:50 PM
Yamaha came out with a sequential SxS.  989 ccs.

Short of the desire to build a MC powered buggy one's self, this would seem to be the death blow to MC "sand cars" as we know it.  A strong player to take market share from the remnants of everything but the big LS cars would be my guess.

DBart did some photo shop.  Personally I like the droop nose for visibility.

still not the same but 90% of america will believe soo. the utv industry did it already just by sign and drive and the cvt making like an auto trans so it will be interesting how many know how to drive a manual.

It was inevitable. The writing was on the wall for quite some time.

For 90% of American offroaders, the SXS is prob a better choice.  The sign-n-drive, nationwide dealer support for parts and service, and the aftermarket world for upgrades.  Give it a few more yrs...........

It's just progress. The new Yamaha is awesome.

Now that might be cool as anything out there. Need to know more but 14K is a bargain for a (hopefully)capable toy.

Looks like a c/g about a mile up though. The vid seems to show it not being too detrimental though. You seen one yet? What do you think of it? BTW,good to hear from you again!!

Hey Fabr   Just seen the video that goes with it there that I posted. My buddy just told me about it this morning.

I just look at it as what Honda SHOULD have did with the Pilot.

I mean if it has the specs they say a bunch of these on a track would be BETTER than mod pilots I would think.

Reminds me of the Revolts.  Does look high, but center driver looks like it works well.  Sure they left out part where he rolled it!  :m

If I was smart I would buy one and jsut go have fun.

Saving for a new house right now so I do got the cash...

But a roof over the head is priority at this minute.

Course I could get one and a RV and just travel...

My boy just bought our 4th YXZ. It all depends on what a person wants in a sxs. The 4th one has the sport shift. I'll report back on my take on that after a first drive in it.

only one i've driven on the dunes was dougs 2016 rzr1000. fabr says the yamaha xyz are good so def one to look at. based on specs , that new wildcat seems to be the closest thing to an actual rail imo. its not a manual though but built well.  the resale used on n/a seems to be complete crap though. i see many ads with $10 to $20k in aftermarket parts and still cant get $14k out of a 2014 to 2016 model.

I cant see a big difference in both of them. But I think the first one is best.

Yes, there is a big difference between them but in my opinion, the second one is best. Its look is fantastic and the engine is superb.
