Title: VW wheel pattern Info
Post by: Doug Heim on March 31, 2009, 09:59:03 PM: I am currently doing some custom work for a customer and neither himself nor I know the stud diameter for the large 5 bolt pattern of the VW wheel pattern. I think they are 9/16" studs. Anyone know any different?

While I am on the subject I have the wheel pattern diameter (PCD) at 205mm for reference of which pattern Im seeking info on.

I notice many of the hubs don't have it, but I felt like incorporating it into mine. The problem is you can't get a caliper down into the wheel..... So my first attempt was about .005 tight. Damm tape measure. ;D If you want it I will look in my CNC program tommorrow. Otherwise, Carry on.

I drill the holes in my wide five to Chevy bolt pattern adapters with a 9/16 drill bit. That brings them to .5625 which is 14.288 MM. Then press in my 14MM studs.
