Please fill us in on who that is.
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

Had to look the damn thing up. Barely found it.

Spode- A term used in the dirtbike scene when describing someone who obviously isn't very good.

Not surprised in the no response. At least you got your money back AFTER they used it for 6 weeks interest free.

Back on track.  Lost six weeks due to 4 Wheel Parts.  I don't suspect I will order from them again.

So, got the diff covers installed.  Lot of work to make them pretty, then to hide them up under the ride.  Oh well.  I suspect if I ever hear the "clang" of iron on rock I will be happy to have done so.  Soon as Don @ RPMFab is done, will have  full skid plates.

Went ahead and tended to the muffler as well. I don't know why they just don't ship them black.  Much neater looking this way. (The loose wires / loom are for future lights with new bumper)

The dog seemed none to impressed.

The guy at AirLift apparently told me the wrong thing.  Arrrgggghhhh!   If I have a 5"d pocket can a 5 1/2"d bag work?  Do they squish enough?  Ready to order standard Wrangler bags and a 1" spacer for the bags to make it all work.  Seems silly it is overly complex.

Love the bumper "sticker". Can't help you on the bags.

Nothing too exciting.

Wanted to stop this:

(Not mine)

So I installed an expanded metal grate.  Odd that only the wrangler comes from Jeep with out a guard of any type.

Decided on a flat black as the grill is gloss black.

Before:

After:

Finally got a tracking number on some other things.  Funny part is I won't be around next weekend to install them.  Have a wedding to go to.

Poop.

OK,  the FedEx guy came.  Being that doing this is funner than work, I took some time to install the first fender.  The idea is gain an inch of clearance.  With a full width front, it is hard to find options.  So Lund makes one that will line up with a horizontal line in the front above the bumper.  Cool.

Back ordered weeks via 4WD / 4WheelParts.  Morris 4x4 shipped em right out via drop ship.  Lesson learned.

Seems Lund needs to work on their packaging.  In their defense it worked.

So, rumor is six hours if you have no skills.  I fit that  category.  Figured I would knock one out in 1.5 and call it a day.  Nope.  They rely on "Christmas tree inserts"  Set them aside the ones you don't break.  $0.03 of plastic.  Really guys, toss a few in the box?  Disassemble, trim, install lugs, cuss,  cuss some more.  Line it all up.  Squint the eyes.  Cuss some more.  Off with the old:

Managed to get one on.

The goal was 1" more clearance.  There is a bit more coverage (width) as well.  Seems to have met the goal.

Stock:

After market

The end result:

One down, three to go.  They should go faster now right?  Or I am I just that special?

Re Tard Ed.

Material thickness is key. If your doing body sheetmetal (.040) The nuts you have are probably for thicker metal........

Installing them is easy, screw on mandrel and squeeze.

If you can get to the backside of the panel, sometimes you can use a small washer to make up for lack of panel thickness.

Do you have the pop rivet style install tool? If not,buy one,NOW. If so,do you have it properly adjusted? Are you NOT using aluminum riv nuts?
