I'm really starting to get the hang of UG now. This afternoon I was told no more (on the clock) buggy parts. I modeled this up today at work. My new cv rear uses this caliper.
I'll have the entire cv rear modeled in a few weeks.

What kinda slave driver you working for, :police: I thought it was just my boss.
-
Personally I'm about to throw Alibre in the trash. That's very nice modeling there Rick!
-
Thanks, now I've got to figure out how to get a copy of this program for my home computer.
-
Just tell your boss that since you used company time to make buggy parts you would like to make up for it by working a little at home and you just need a copy of the program to do so. ;)

I have a computer too you know!LOL!!!
-
UG?
-
Unigraphics. This is the program that GM uses.
-
Drawings look great for sure!
How much is a seat supposed to cost?
-
Boatloads.
-
Rick, how does UG rate compared to Solidworks in your opinion?
-
I don't have much experience with Solidworks. Which is better depends on who you ask.
We have both at work. The Solidworks guys like the Solidworks. The UG guys like the UG.
The UG experience probably looks better on a resume. At least in this part of the country.
I had hoped to learn Solidworks because it can easily be run at home. The UG needs a very expensive video card. They're upgrading mine at work because my computer is really bogging down. $1000 I'm told just for this card. I think the UG seat is something like like 40K, but I could be wrong. Too expensive for my home use for sure.
-
Sounds like PRO-E. It was 25K per seat and I don't know of anyone using it anymore. Just rediculous.
-
I have pro E at home. I recieved a cracked version but have no idea on how to use it!
