I started this baja project about 14 years ago. It has been delayed for numerous reasons. I thought Whiplash could use my wing idea for his Baja. Now Spec wants pictures. It is buried in junk, so this is the best I can do right now. This car started as a use for the suspension from my sportsman race car. The body is a 73 Superbeetle. I adapted a one piece hood for a regular beetle. For the base of the frame I used 2"x3" rectangular tubing in the shape of the VW floorpan. It raises the body up for a built in lift. The rest of the frame is 1 1/2" .095 tubing. I had a stock width rear torsion with an adjuster. The trailing arms are 1" longer stock width chromoly. The front end is 5" wider than stock chromoly with long shock towers. It has 1 1/2" longer chromoly trailing arms and a Wright steering rack.

I am planning for this car to be a 4 seater. I used all the Neal petals and steering brakes. It also has suspension seats. I used the close ratio bus trans and a Dodge Omni[VW engine]. I planned on having heat and a/c. That is all I can remember now. Tim

CBR600, a future project. A YT125 with a 125 YZ engine, it would climb every hill at Little Sahara in 1983 with stock tires. Sharp eye. Tim

Your welcome Spec. Curse you also, now I am thinking what it would take to get it done. I think money for brakes is stopping me. I must have good brakes on anything I have now. My kids gocart has brakes from a CBR600. Tim
