these are the only dates that work for me because of a trip I am planning to st anthony's in july. being between snake fest (or what ever it's called) and memorial weekend and right after schools out the college students should still be moving home and hopfully it will be a slower week and weekend at the dunes! this way the kids and wife's can come, and yet far enough into may to get some warmer weather for a change!! that driving in 50* with wind and light mist is no good anymore rofl

You can get away with alot more on a non event weedend. The weedend's that the park rangers DON'T put up with any BS is Easter, Snake Hunt, Spring Break, 4th of July, Sand Fest and Fall Break. But with that many more people there, I can see why. 8) 8) 8)

Going to be busting some butt on the buggy this weekend I hope. Just set up surgery for carpal tunnel on both my hands March 5. I will be down for 2 to 4 weeks. I am guessing I will play hell to be a good boy for 2 weeks. Got a lot to do on the buggy. New a arms, clock cvs, mount the new paddles, put in seat heater, and get the dam computer requesting the cooling fan, and the other 10 or 12 things in am not remembering. And go pre beat it.Oh hell I forgot about stuff for the trailer! Git all that diamond plate to put in! May is coming to fast! drowning drowning drowning drowning drowning drowning drowning drowning

Heated seats!!! Damn. So you've got to build new arms for the new uprights? I just figured everyone in mid-west was having to wait for the snow to melt just to find the shop again. kick Ma inlaw had that surgury 3-4 weeks back to normal, but I think she was milking it. Shes much happier as is father inlaw now that she doesn't have that locked trigger finger.

I am so ready for the surgery. My hands are waking me up 2-3 times a night with braces on. If I forget the braces well, lets just say that night and the next day suck a!s! Did I mention a basement remodel in progress ass well. This weekend is all about the buggy or at least digging it out to work on it.

T-man I may take you up on that. Spec I know you know were I am at. I have been pushing to get some stuff done before surgery. That is now small part of the pain extra pain. Perks and beer? Sounds kinda good. Have not done that in a while. Did a perk last night. Not sure it didn't keep me up! Pretty much no sleep again. Going to finish a little project on the truck tonight and get the my tire for the trailer. Found I had a flat on the trailer this weekend. Had to get it fixed.

My wife had CT in both arms and had one operated on and it did not fix all the problems. The other one was causing lot of problems even with a brace, but she no longer wanted to have surgery on it. I bought her a hot tub and she put her wrists on the jets and sat in it every day. She no longer has any problems and it has been 10 years now. Just my .02, hope you get them so stop hurting.

Already have the hot tub. Heat has not helped me. Cold has a positive effect. CT is caused by swelling of the tissues. They told me if I let it go to long the chance of things not getting better are higher. I was even told to put off hobbies and restrict activity's that aggravate it. Also told be I could lose the ability to grip with my right hand if I let it go much longer. Hair on fire Hair on fire So I have been doing everything I can to get stuff done and my hands are screaming.

Mine was on 4 wheels, now back on jack stands. kick New side project, giving half my basement back. But I did get all the walls framed, elec run, drywall this week. Then once the dust is seperated, back to buggy. Tooo many irons in the fire. rofl
So I tried t look back and count drowning, looks like 10 or so coming to LS? Only about two months left.

Heads up ever one. I have slot ten at Deuces Wild camp grounds reserved. 19th to the 22nd. That is the end slot with the concrete slab that has room for three maybe four camper's. I think that maybe two of them are spoken for. Plenty of room for a tent or two.

Voodoo, just stay with us in the north camp at cowboy camp grounds with the rest of us. They have showers and toilets. You can either sleep in your vehicle or put up a tent. Me, Enemy, DS, Dunebound, and Deano will be camped there. 8) 8) 8)

Here's the current pics of my sandcar ( "monster truck" as Carl calls it, LOL ) after all the changes this winter.
Changed the whole front end with the help of DS and a BIG THANKS goes out to him!!! The new front a-arms are 5" longer than my old ones and now I have 25" of wheel travel and 7" more ground clearance. We also changed the shock mounts at the frame, as well as at the a-arms. Installed new 9.50, 32" tall six rib implement front tires and new Xtreme Revolution 35 X 14.00 with #2 paddles, 36" tall. I did some tweaking on the rear suspension to get the most out of my new front end. Installed 2 new Wilwood master cylinders, new slave cylinder for the clutch and new AN 3 lines. 8) 8) 8)

It's take me 10 years to get my sand car to this point. It started out with stock VW suspension, stock 3-rib transaxle and an old wore out, oil leaking 1600cc engine. Looking at the old pics from then and now, it's a 180* difference.

$140 off flea bay, by vivid but if you buy them spend the extra and tell him it's for a sand rail and you want show quality! enemy cleared them for me so they really pop in the sun but the low quality vinyl has some defects in it. they showed up with out a clear protection layer and do scratch easy but after enemy cleared them they look better then that clear vinyl does and are better protected!

Well guys I cant make the spring trip. Was off work to long with the carpal tunnel surgery. And it is going to be a busy time at work. Hind sight I should have done the surgery after the trip!

I am planning on the fall trip. After a month off from work, and kill all my vacation days taking off would put me in a bit of hot water. Figure its fair to let the other guys get some time off. Though they are not always smart enough to take it. If we don't use our days the pay it out on your anniversary date. I used to be like that. I would only take off Thursday and Friday for the trip. Blast down Wednesday after work and set up camp in the dark! I have gotton older and wiser. I got the days and I use a good chunk. I think I have nearly 4 weeks each year. Well my month killed those off! But I am working on the trailer and buggy. I will be ready to listen to some tall tales and lies by the fall.

Man I would think you could take so much time off that trip by going east to York NA about 30 miles and south on old 81 down and pick up I-135. One heck of a lot of stops and small towns going down 281 the way your going now. I think you only have one maybe two stop lights from York to Salina KS where you would pick up I-135 then I-35. You would have 80MPH all the way to Oklahoma. Then 11 west to Alva.

Man I would think you could take so much time off that trip by going east to York NA about 30 miles and south on old 81 down and pick up I-135. One heck of a lot of stops and small towns going down 281 the way your going now. I think you only have one maybe two stop lights from York to Salina KS where you would pick up I-135 then I-35. You would have 80MPH all the way to Oklahoma. Then 11 west to Alva.
I when that way once and it took the same amount of time, but it was 71 miles farther than going down old US 281. 8) 8) 8)

we go to york ne then south but never gone to ok state line then over. we cut through hutch or take 70 over then catch 156 i think, to 281. now chris goes all the way through ks to ok then over and it takes him the same amount of time if not a couple min's longer than I but I stop in a few of those towns to fuel and get a bite to eat at subway 3/4 of the way there. 7.5 hrs my way ' well 8 with family and 7 just me. 7.5 if I don't let them get drinks on the way there! rofl rofl
