the big group is meeting up april 18 thru the 24. well most of them are going for the week the rest of us the 21 or 22 and leave the 25 which is that sun. anyone and everyone interested show up and yes it's the weekend after snake hunt! ;D

I may have it sold but no money in hands yet. The customer wants me to do a few mods, like hand clutch, side panels, and move the brake pedals. He has a right foot injury that limits him to these mods. I am happy to do it if that is what he wants. We are working on the final details at the moment. If she goes, I will truly miss it!

fast and I are staying at Dueces Wild campground. I like it best of any camp area there. There are 3 rows of sites there. Fast and I are in the middle(pull through slots) .He is the furthest North and I will be next south.

I had thought about a 44 footer I just knew my truck would have been outclassed and did not have a buget for a new truck. that said I am going after a 2006 one ton crewcab single rear wheel and it is a Duramax LLY tommorrow. Flying to Austin Texas tommorrow. It is hard to find a good clean one up here. Still no buget but it is only money! drowning drowning

www.waynoka.com (http://www.waynoka.com) not the greatest site. There are campgrounds with modern bathrooms/showers. Campsites have H2O and power in most. We will be at the Cowboy camp. Not sure about address. Google Little Sahara OK. Should pop up the OK state parks site. May have address there.

The nice thing about cowboy camp is that it has it's own crapper/shower house so you don't have to wait, like you do at other camp sites. Another bonus is that it has huge pull through sites with 50 amp service and its only $17 a day :nw

I'll be picking up wife Wed night from Wichata airport. Found her a ticket for $79 from Atlanta. Damn gas cost more than that. Work it out and I'll be more than happy to give you a ride to the sand. Maybe a bed for a night.

I think the closest airport is in Alva, OK 40 miles NE of the dunes. I don't know about Woodward, OK 35 miles SW of the dunes, they might have one too 8) 8)

But are there any places near the LS dunes you can stay in a reasonable hotel OR a place that rents RV's that will drop them at a campsite near the dunes?
Might have a way to come and a decent ride but not a place for me and a friend to sleep. I am looking at renting a motor home near here BUT the fuel cost would be greater than to just drive his ride plus they don't like you to tow even his light trailer and buggy.
Still a ton of hurdles to clear though for clearance to even launch but hey! ........ Maybe..

30 miles North or SW and there are some pretty decent motels. There is NO WAY IN HELL I'll EVER stay at any motel in Waynoka EVER again tho. Little Sahara Powersports has a trailer house that they rent on site. I have no idea of the condition tho. There is likely an RV rental place in either Tulsa,Ok or Wichita,Ks or Oklahoma City,Ok and one or the other would be on your way possibly. All are 2-3 hours from LS.

ifen your coming all the way from LS to pick up your wife I'll put this out there. I'm leaving for LS the next morning early. The wife and I could meet your wife at the air port and she could spend the night with us. I could being her down when I come down. I'll print your screen name on the piece of cardboard and stand at the baggage carousel so your wife would know who we were. Plus any one else that wanted to come into the Wichita Mid Continent air port. I got lots of spare room in this big old house. No kids anymore. Just saying.

I am aware of the motor home rentals places a bit and looking at them. IF going that route would try to get the closest so less distance and less cost an hes got wheels to get us to the dunes. He won't do the tent thing. Hell I would with glee for a few days. Maybe I can sleep in a tent and he can sleep in the back of his Chevy Envoy!
We would be coming in from Chicago area. Likely a similair if not the same route from there Doug followed down. But I would drive from my house near Silver Lake to his place near Chicago's south side (just inside the Illinois border) and go. I aint sure he could get the time required off work yet. Hes thinking about it. I am edging him towards it...

I dryed some jerky more than others...The softer bags are for the ride to the dunes...The dryer stuff is so you don't get sticky fingers at the dunes ::)
If it's too dry for your liking...Just cut an apple into 1/8 ths and stuff it in the bags with the jerky
and that will soften it up...but it will get sticky again...and your buggies will have sticky finger prints on them rofl LMAO rofl

Made it half way between Memphis and Little Rock. Didnt get gone til 1pm and I40 closed in Memphis. 1 hr delay. Eastern Ark is so flat, could nearly see Little Rock from Miss river bridge. Haveing some great road time, and should be there bout 2pm. See ya'll there!!

First trip in new trailer, so it is a complete, clean, and pack. Finding where I hid all the stuff I took out of the old one was half the battle. Buggy packed, got most tools backed, beds up, 90% of the food. Will fill the fridge tonight with rest of food, but the clothes in and tidy up a bit and it should be sitting there ready to go save fuel in the truck. If I forgot it I will mooch off you guys!

Ahhhhhh! Had the chance to meet some of the guys friday and even go for a morning ride. Very friendly and knowledgable croud. Very nice machines and a blast to ride with. Here's a pic I promissed them.

most of the weather did go around but we did get a little rain and some wind but compared to last oct this was great! I only bent 3 hiems after trying to drive right into a sand wall! I felt that one, didn't realize it was that steep until it was too late! I will work on the video later this week and we got some a good shot of transman trying to role his rail while he was in the air. ;D we have got to do a better job next time getting all the groups that are camping elsewhere together for a group ride atleast once a day! fabbr and glen sorry I didn't catch up with you guys more just trying to keep up with the guys over there. we did come over at 12:30 am but there wasn't any lights so we left, but we did see yoshi! yoshi I didn't realize you were sitting there with the group till I saw you take off over the dune but you should've jumped in with the group for a run accross the dunes! Carlriddle it was great to meet you! hope you and yours had a great time, didn't get to see you much because we were at different sites but you did manage to run into us more than fabbr and fast! ;) ;D there will be a small group heading your way before too long so maybe you and doug can play tour guide for us all! nice rail by the way.

Definitly had one of the best time of my life. Even the 16hr trip ea way was kinda fun. rofl Spent the whole week and didn't break till Sat am. Hitting that small dune at an angle sent part of front shock into sand and other parts to the sky. Drove back to camp and onto trailer. GREAT TRIP. Had a great ride with DS with a little air, and Fast gave me and the daughter a great ride in his car. That thing is a work of art. Cant get over how much the wind blows, almost always. Next trip we will be more prepared, and I might even wear pants. LMAO

You guys are forgeting to tell everybody about the best part of the trip! ;D ;D ;D Dunebound, Enemy, DS and myself were just about struck by lightning!!! DS's wife did get shocked through the handle bars of her 4-wheeler. Dunebound and Enemy got hit by small hail. That had to SUCK!!!

Yeah, Candice and had just caught up with you guy, got out and that was the loudest THUNDER I had ever heard. Didn't see the lightning, but the hair on my neck kinda stuck up. Hail hit us on the sand hwy, ouch! Ran into Enemy as he was leaving Dueces camp, still had that big ass grin.
