Education IS Expensive for Starters

I found out why the started drive ate up the starter ring gear. It appears the starter was interfered with by the trans to the tune of about .030 and I missed it plain and simple. That tipped the starter just enough to load the end of drive gear tooth enough to break one end of one drive tooth and that began the destruction of the ring gear. Yup,about $700 worth of education. 5:
