To do a header and get access to all the areas would be a bitch. Fir Ti headers I assume , maybe incorrectly as I don't really know, they purge the inside similar to SS headers are done if done correctly. Anyone know for sure?

YUP, back purge the inside of the tube.  It's pretty easy really you plug both ends of the tube and allow for a small leak on one end and feed low pressure Argon in the other end.  Let it run a minute or two so you get all the "bad" stuff out and then start welding.  It keeps the back side from getting that sugary look and keeps it from pulling impurites from the back side to the front.

Next item on my want list is a rotating/tilting weld positioner. I saw one a while back that looked like a giant Ram mount.

The "chamber" you guys are referring to is commonly called a glovebox.  It's a sealed box very much like a sandblast cabinet but the seals are better.  You pull a vacuum on the box and then back fill it with an appropriate gas (usually Argon) to create the "clean" enviroment similar to the gas cloud your Argon bottle creates on your common TIG torch.  Nobody likes welding in them because it's hard to see and you have access issues.  They weld Niobium to Titanium here all the time in gloveboxes here though so it can be done.  A box for a header would be BIG! :)

That sounds cheap.   Sarcasm

The one the guy built using a bowling ball was pretty slick.  1/2 of welding for me is comfort.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.
