-
i spoke with mike about the 1st week of may and that didnt work for him but the last week of april did. there are more open slips 1st week of may. but ya do those dates work for other?
-
I can share my spot with someone if it helps.
-
i can as well if need be. the brians are always willing to help ;D
-

not a bad idea! at the rate they keep hiking camp fees there may be a few in town camp sites ;D
-
I've been looking at other properties in town thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, the prices are way up from what I paid for our 2 places. It seems sxs people have really helped with that. LOL!!!! Hell,I could easily double or more my money if I sold now.

i bet you could double your money. you do make several trips over there per year, for that reason it works out great. i dont and couldn't justify the expense of the property or maintenance. i have considered it but .....ya ;D. i personally really like st a dunes far more than LS and if it was a few hrs closer i would make that trip yearly. if i was retired like mitch and mike i damn sure would rofl i bought the ss minnow so i could make a couple more trips per year, solo but this year has been sooooooo crazy at work that i could not get time off.
-
who all is still planning on the april dune trip? i plan on it and sandracer1 said his group will be there as well.
-
Me and at least one bike sailor.. perhaps his brother as well. Older guys but accomplished riders. One owns a mx vacation operation based in Cali.
-
I'm still in. had the car out this weekend. for a once over. looks like its ready to go. booked my sight so long ago i forget were I'm staying. lol
-
I'm in. Is it still the end of April? I think I have a spot reserved from April 27-May 1.
-
i definately need to fire mine up and take it for a run. did work on it at all this winter. been doing some remodeling so no time or room. i usually run a 50/50 mix on coolant. i truly hope i didnt thin it out now that we saw -32* ambient. poor thing spent the winter on the toyhauler under the cover.
-
50/50 is supposedly good to -35 before gelling occurs with freezing just below that. Hope your thermometer was accurate.
-
Wow, -32 would be brutal. Only saw about -12 here, but the buggy was inside. I have reservations but the pickings were slim when I made them. I spoke with sandsavior (JC) the other day, he is hoping to come down for some sand time. He had shoulder surgery, so has been laid up for a while. Starts rehab this month.

brian strange found out cowboy was booked as well. not sure where he found a spot but he'll be there with his new to him taz car. hope jerry makes it as well and i am clear at the end again as that was all that was left when i booked. yes -32* !! i sent brianN a pic of the temp gauge so he understood that 10* in his area was a heat wave compared to at home LMAO

You Yankees be tuff suns-a-guns!
-
thanks brianN for posting that pic. i had deleted it but that was half wat to work that morning. damn cold
-
Thermometer here don’t have - on them, and riots in street begin at 32*.
Sadly life intrudes in vacation again. Too many other logs on fire.
Oh and not enough antifreeze does bad things. Oh how I know.
-
i looked underneath the rail and just saw a few oil drops. i have never been able to stop 100% of the drips on any ford! i will have to get the cover off and check the water level to know for sure. was nice there was no green slick down the floor though! -32* is no joke and pretty rare for ambient temps. windchill isnt a concern and we do commonly see -25 to -40* with wind chill. thats the coldest 2 or 3 weeks of winter though, doesnt last long. thank the good lord we didnt get any real wind while it was -32* !! that wouldnve been brutal!
carl, get that rail all fixed and prepped. you wont even recognize the place when you finally make it back lol
-
Great to hear. all the green stuff stayed in it. :nw.
-
drove it up to the garage yesterday. best oil psi i have ever seen ..... on cold start. missed the sound of that turbo at cold start high idle!! need to clean it, change the oil and address the exh gasket issue somehow. i have a few things to do to the truck as well. still had the green stuff in it. i normally mix it 50/50% but i couldnNt remember if i topped it off a couple times with water.
-
I found a spot for the trip, just not sure if I can get the time off to do it. Gunna have to stop by the DS compound and check on the busa this week, I am confident my antifreeze held up through the engineered blast freezer event, just not sure about my water heater! What is rv antifreeze good for??
-
that is an excellant question. i do not know , but now that you meantion it i will have to go look as i fill mine with it too.
-
i did look in my rails radiator and its full so all good there! changed the oil last night..... black as coil after 2 trips.
-
-50*

I'm getting my rail ready. We took the M/H out last weekend so it all works good. This is what happens to the timing covers when you don't tighten the header nuts.
-
oops ;D
-
hit 84* here yesterday..... that sun was nice but thats damn warm to quick after our cooler winter! so 22 days until i head down or about 22 days :D whos ready already?
-
I'm ready but I'll be sxs'ing it this trip.
-
what happened?
-
I'm ready but I'll be sxs'ing it this trip.
Nooooooooo. We need your buggy in the group!
-
Here's the story. I bought a Dart Iron Eagle block to build a 427" SB2.2. SB2.2 blocks have different cam location and weird lifter bores. Nothing about a true SB2.2 is "normal". In other words ,Dart is in no hurry. Engine is torn down and still waiting for the block. beathorse.gif~c200 It'll take a miracle at this point to happen in time. :nw n I'll just tag along at the back of the pack. It's all good anyway. A day on the dunes beats most anything else no matter what you bring. I've actually put a lot of miles on the blue beast and it has been fun for sure. Can't wait to get the torque of the big cubes though.
-
busa rail??
-
Still has bad 2nd gear.
-
priorities priorities :m

You mean like a floating dock for the pond? Going to LS too often? Stuff gets in the way!

yes, like the floating dock ;D :m
-
is there really such a thing as going to the dunes too often?? :D now if it was a weekly trip then possibly but since you have 3 diff style rides to dune in that does add layers.
-
hell i would be happy with once a month! i bet brianN makes it once a month as well as budlight and mike.
