When you search you get 20,000 plus matches on hid conversions. Just read carefully and pay attention to shipping costs. There are kits that have plugs to adapt to factory harnesses without splicing but in a sand car it doesnt matter cause you have no plug to plug them into, you are wiring them from scratch. I like 6000k or 8000k temperatures on my lights also.

I posted some pics of my led and hid lights, some just hid's, some just led's, some with all.  I have written above each picture what lights are on in the pic, and you can see how far down they shine.  I've been very happy with a 30" led lightbar and 2 6.5" HID spots........

I built a cage for a friend of mines Rhino, and we used those Kragen or CSK HID lights. The ones we used were the 8 inch, 4 of them to be exact. i think they offer a different sizes now. They're a Euro beam pattern, and put out a ton of light, especially considering that he paid for for lights at the cost of 1 top of the line HID. I wish I had a good picture of how much light they put out, i only have one of them lighting up my garage. Are they as good as the Top of the line? I don't think so, but you'd have to have them side by side to get a good comparision. I know for sure I wouldn't feel bad if I broke one, compared to breaking a $400+ light.

From those pics I'd have to say the HID's are the best bang for the buck.

Those kragen lights are nice, a couple bucks more but no headache of making a set and they are internal ballast, makes for clean wiring. I might even buy a set to throw on the front of the car down low. You can never have enough lights. Heres a stupid question that I should know the answer to but what is the difference between euro pattern and spot or flood. I know the difference between spot and flood but dont know how those compare to a euro beam.

I'm sure I'll get corrected, but a euro is somewhat of a cross between a flood and a spot.
