On another note, enemy was kind enough to send me a pic of his timing map for his 2.3. I had remembered advancing mine, at the last st a trip as I had no dead start power. I know I had highlighted 600 rpm to 2000 r0m and 20 kpa to 90 kpa and advanced it 5*.  Didnt make a difference and I now know a lot of that was an improperly timed cam along with a glitch in pcm and a brand new failing fuel pump.  The crazy thing is that 75% of my ignorance map was different then enemy's. Basically in 110 kpa, 3k rpm to 6500 rpm we matched but every where else mine was either advanced 1 to 5* or in a few case retarded 2 to 4*.  That map came in the start up guide that came with the ecu. Hopefully between the cam set right and ign map adjusted that might ease up on my manifold.

Taylors wedding went off smoothly. Good times, great turn out and they had his racer buddies take turns doing burn out competitions on the hwy right after the ceremony.

On another note......
Coils showed up Friday from big shocks. Fast delivery likes scotts coils. Sadly the sxs shock strikes again. Fox really hored themselves out to the sxs world. Rather then standard 3" id coils on a 2.5 body these use 3.25". Its my fault for not pulling them apart and measuring everything. I held a tape measure up to the slider and it looked like 3" coil collar. So tomorrow I will call shock therapy and see what the stock and how fast i can get them. Or ill run my old air shocks and see what happens. Going to call Accutane and speak to them about internal bypass c/o's, whats in stock, etc etc etc.

I need to check out your cover better. When I looked briefly at it I think I was impressed. My only real concern is dust/sand/grit scratching the optic armor windshield. It is tough but not impervious to damage like dirt/dust whatever between it and the cover going down the road.

So I have started the engine 5 or 6 times. Put 3 miles on it at low load no real boost just getting the gears spun. The manifold already has 2 small leaks. Shot windex on during cold start up. #3 and #4. Small leaks but bubbles. Thought I could hear one.  Oh well running it anyway. Did get a few reading to adjust map before. Will have to move on to a diff manifold.

No fricken way. 5: Did you allow the ultra gray to breathe for a few minutes before "hand tight "bolting up? It needs a small bit of atmosphere moisture to get a full cure or it will just set up gummy. You should also allow at least 24 hours cure time before final torque and putting in use.

Consider this tidbit , almost all cast iron ex manifolds at one time used no gasket or anything to seal it to the head and they rarely leaked.

Waited an hr then tq'd then it sat for 3 days with no turbo.

Leaking in the same 2 spots as last time. 1st time was 3 out of 4 ports so 25% better  :m Manifold base is thinner now and I wondered. Glue oozed out sighting around the perimeter.  A very small amount to know it was full covered.

Yes I know they did. My 7.3 diesel was iron on iron and don't disagree with it.

Leaks are small at this point. Audible on cold start but not at temp. On cold start , with windex squirt bottle, I can find them. No leaks on cyl 1 and 2.  Cyl 4's is pretty small but bubbles none the less. #4  bubbles like someone farting underwater  :m but not so bad it blows the windex off. Last time it leaked so bad it blew it back at my face.

I can pull it to see if there's a reason, or add the gasket. I know it will warp again. There is just something soooooo f 'd  up with the manifold.

Called the gearing people to inquire if they have a t25 option. They do not but may have a solution. I will call him Friday to see if they tested it out.
