Little Sahara and The American Flag
« on: June 12, 2025, 04:35:57 PM »
It's been probably 4 years since I had a "discussion" with the top dog park ranger and the prick ranger that ran around the park about the BS rule that to run an American flag you had to show total disrespect for the flag by being forced to run the damn little orange triangle above it. Park rules demanded that no flag be flown higher than the orange thing. US Flag rules state that no flag shall be flown above the American Flag. Both of those deep thinkers said basically go eff myself and if I wanted to continue to ride there I should shut up and put up. Eff me. I was/am pissed.
Well today I was in LS Powersports and see some whips with the American Flag above the orange POS . It seems that somewhere around the time I bitched about the BS orange flag rules there was a new top ranger that was former military and didn't like the rule either as ,in effect ,it forbid the flying of the US Flag unless willing to disrespect it. I admit I thought flying it disrespectfully was better than not displaying it at all.  This ranger went to the capital apparently and got the state to allow the American flag to be flown above the orange POS. No size limit on the American Flag either so long as the orange POS is immedialtle below it.
All other countries or whatever flags still have to be below orange POS. AS IT SHOULD BE.
Rant over, just wish it had been made well known when the rules changed.

I have never understood their reasoning behind the absolute rule of the orange flag on top. No matter how you wish to look at it, that 10" x 10" x 10" orange flag is less visible then 2'x3' flag. Beyond respectfully showing patriotism,  its more visible from a safety standpoint as well. I cannot imagine the bs they deal with on a daily basis with all the idiots but they have some a couple crazy rules. The one about red taillights only because someone might mistake you for a safety vehicle floors me. All the sxs's out there with strobing multi colored lights look closer to a safety vehicle then blue tail lights. I am glad they have changed there stance on the American flag and happy to hear there is a veteran in charge.

I have reluctantly flown 2 American flags improperly for quite some time now just to be able to ride LS. It really pissed me off ,I have to say ,when I was told to either disrespect the flag or STFU and go away. I truly hate that arrogant POS ranger. I forget his name and have not seen the arrogant fool for a few years now. I hope he is in charge of latrines somewhere. A POS like him belongs in that capacity.
