Title: 002 and 091 difference
Post by: Punkur67 on November 25, 2008, 06:10:31 PM
Does anybody know the length difference between a 002 and 091. I think its 1" but is it on the nose cone side or bellhousing side of the drive flanges.

Ask Don at the Bus Box?

Better, send a PM to AZ Transaxle?  They are here as a sponsor on the site and might be able to help with this question?

the intermediate housing (the one between the nose cone and the main case) is 5/16 thicker on the 091 and the bellhousing is an additional 1/8.
The 002 bell housing can be bolted right on an 091 if you need it to be shorter. The starters are different as well. We get a lot of requests for an 091 with an 002 bellhousing so the customer can use the more common starter.
