Didn't your fill kit come with a ball valve to shut off the aux tank? Mine did. Just use that to shut off till maybe down to 1/4 tank. Open it till shows near full whiloe going down road ,it takes a while to fill a tank with the small flow from the aux tank,and shut it off again. No need for transfer pump.

The rear tank on my 97 would have a drip under it if I topped it off and parked on my mountain pass of a driveway at an angle, it was coming from the rubber grommet vent line in the top of the tank that runs along a brace on the bottom of the box.

Yes It has the ball valve at aux tank.  I may do that just fill aux tank with truck tank 1/4 or so, fill rear and run the piss out of it.  I bet it will burn it bout as fast as it drips in.
