Sorry for the slow reply to your question there Masterfabr, but no mate not much ski'n done cause the snow doesn't last that long. Although I remember one time a guy skied down the main street years ago, looked freak'n funny.  :m

Hell I've skiied the bluff a 1/4 mile from my house. I take it you've never skiied Reiddy.  Makes buggy driving seem tame.

Hay fabr we got heaps of ski resorts (which double as mountain bike venues when off season), get yer skinny arse down here and Ill take you on a tour  ii:

Is it mid summer there now?  Also give us some trivia, what is the highest elevation in Australia?  How high are these ski resorts?

 ;D Mount Kosciuszko is Australia's tallest mountain at 2,230 metres and is located in south east NSW. When it comes to high...we aint so hot over here...  :-[

A little over 7,300 ft for the lazy Americans.  ;D      I didn't realize you got any snow.....  but now I are educated.

Laughing now, on the east coast we can snow ski in the morning, water ski just after lunch and then surf into the later afternoon.... Although surfing has been tough lately, sharks making lunch of aussies has been common over the last couple of months.  :'(
