I like the idea less chatter, but how would you align the rear with out lengthening or shortening wheel base?
that's it! I'd position it where it would carry on through to the rear heim. I'm also thinking of doing away with the heims at the wheel end pivots and using full width flanged delrin bushings like on the front a arms of this car..
Hmmmm,gotta think about this a bit more.I'd like to rid it of heims altogether. What do you think about making the hub plate removable/shimable?
Well maybe but I was thinking more along the lines of a plate just like you have attached to the arms with bushings with another plate that carries the wheel stub/bearing assembly bolted to it perhaps in a piloted bore that would allow shimming the wheel stub/bearing assenbly. The same way a soild axle 4wd front is aligned. Unbolt the hub snout and use round tapered shims.
Many years ago I was in trade school alignment class and swore that I'd never again align a car with eccentric adjusters without wrench flats ever again.There was some Ford crap at the time the had those type adjusters and they SUCKED to work on.
