ride on/in mower
« on: October 16, 2011, 02:49:04 AM »
hi

l needed a big mower for cutting my buggy track, everything l looked at was either way to dear or a complete wreck, so l set about making one myself, rather than retype everything l will just give you a link but first a few specs and pics
but it did change specs a few times along the way

started wanting to use a mazda diesel engine complete with auto box out of a lwb sidekick
but it was way too long so l ended up with a peugeot diesel engine with a manual box
rear engined, hydraulic steer, 4 wheeldrive using a  lada niva transfer box and suzuki sj axles
was going to make my own cutting deck but ended up buying a set of hydraulic drive cutting decks cheap
and a smart car body so as l can mower with the cd player on in the rain

this link should show it in more detail

COOL!! Only YOU would do something that cool.

the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

thank you chaps

my workshop which you probabally think is tiny is considered quite big over here l get some stick over the size of it on my local buggy forum lol  most others have to make do with a single car garage which is 16' by 7' over here  :o
so l am spoilt

will find you some later pics but its not finished yet l have this and a buggy project, l work on one till l am stuck for parts then switch over to the other project, been working on the buggy for the last few weeks,
as winter is arriving l wont need the mower just yet although l might be fitting a snow plough on the front
