Well I've managed to finally got some more done, here's some pics, of the floor in, I dunno if you can see it or not, the throttle cable sorted out where it goes through into the pedal box and onto the pedal, cause Edges need refining. I also got some bits from Doug as usual, for the hub so I can run the Douglas wheels I bought a while ago, but I think I may have some issues there but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! Oh and I got the gear lever mounted.

You could add a spacer between the hub and the wheel to move those heims away from the rim.  It's pretty common on full size cars to make small adjustments like that with a spacer.  The general rule on full size cars is no more than 1/4" thick spacer.

Yeah thanks Lance I was thinking today of doing just that with some alloy I've got out in the shed, just tracing around the hub face where the wheel bolts to then cutting it out, one spacer! Trouble is some times I have terrible sexy fingers that tend to F things up..  ::) ;D

DOH I just noticed that the first picture of the rim with the hub in it is up  side down.. ::)

what is the offset in the wheel?

If you flip it around that might fix your problem as well. I have done this on fronts before to get a wider foot print and correct scrub radius. I simply welded the tire valve hole and drilled a new on on the other side.  8)

Oh ok I looked at that today but the center piece of the rim seemed pretty much the center but I'll put the rear on the right side to see what the go is tomorrow. But as Lance said I could cut a spacer.

looking at the upside down pic it looks like a slight offset to me unless its the pic playing with my eyes.

If it is the same a spacer will be fine. I have a friend running 1" spacers and he has had no issues with them.

The only problem with the 1" spacer is that it puts a bending load on the fastener.  Usually when they get that thick they bolt the spacer to the hub and then bolt the wheel to the spacer by offsetting the patterns.

Yeah I've had ta cut a quarter inch spacer, it should be OK to put it straight on the hub face then whack the wheel on shouldn't it? I hope so cause I've made one nearly. Here's some more I got done.
Oh and I did some more CAD work today that's right cardboard aided design, you put the card board against the wheel nuts give a little tap, so you can see where to use the wad punch, then push it right on rub with ya finger and it gives ya a pattern cut out and transfer onto aluminum, then cut out! Voila one spacer..
