I didn't see any big holes burned in it so it's better than I could do on aluminum.  rofl

What size filler wire are you using?  Can you burn back over the weld and flatten it out any.  May set your machine on pulse and run back over all the welds. Use a circular motion with your torch and make it look better.  The weld would be wider but flatter.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Hahaha thanks Eng, I looked at the top of it and it's not square, the welds aren't the best but practise makes perfect! Also when I get my shed built I'll have me Miller Dx250 set up and my CNC plasma table going, but then I'll hafta learn to use all that then it'll put me behind again eyes, ah well gottahave a go huh..  ;D

Thanks Fast, but I had a bit of a stuff up with the flange for the cap, when I welded it, the lip I left to weld to actually pulled/cracked and pulled away from the internal edge, soooo I'll hafta spin another one up and I want to change the tank more so I'll chalk it up to experince I guess! eyes It's hard being a fussy prick when ya sometimes find ya talents lacking.. :-\ At least I'm trying! huh ;)

+1.  I do that all the time.

Just because your a fussy prick don't mean you still can't try to do the best. Practice makes perfect.  Read my Sig line.
