Do any of you do any anodizing at home? I have been looking at starting to do some small stuff at home but want to make shure i invest my money in the correct stuff. What kind of investment am i looking at for a simple setup. I saw some videos where the people just used 5gal buckets and a battery charger.

I've never done it, but I posted up a video bout a year ago of a home made setup. Couldn't come up with enough alum buggy stuff to warrent doing it.

I figure between the buggy, fairlane, guns, all my friends toys, and my friend doing a bunch of aluminium in his cnc machine i could justify spending a few hundred bucks. At least i might come up on some free beer when my friends wanted stuff done.

I work with a guy thats into RC sailboats(I know right?),anyway he does his own ano at home and the parts look beautiful!Granted they are on a smaller scale, but I've seen some as large as about 4" by 4" by 1/4" and they looked great. He buffs them real quick before ano which helps also.I forget where he got his supplies, I'll query.(sorry I herd someone say that word at work and it stuck in my head)

What more do you need anyway. The quality of the anodized parts the guy is producing seems of a high quality. Just buy the "Advanced Kit" and get a decent bucket.
