Kawasaki ridge utv

As several know, I sold the 2dr can am defender for a few reasons but #1 is they are a puss poor design.

I ordered a 2025 kawasaki ridge crew cab for a few reasons. #1 it has a 85 amp alternator where the rest are 850watt stators. #2 my grandsons like to ride around with grandpa.   ;D. #3 heat and ac  :m :m

Been cool here so haven't tested the ac. Heater works great !

They are pretty large utv's. In that pic I posted, there is an 03 lesabre hiding behind it.







Front and rear shift on the fly diff locks. Front and rear cameras too.





4 bucket seats with a center console between them. Comfortable. Hvac has a cabin filter and a recirc setting.

The rebuild on my turbo cost more then the lesabre !  Its a daily commuter car. Paid $500 with 99k miles and in need of front end work. $400 in parts and I have put 40k miles on it. Ugly but cost of ownership is fantastic!!

Have only put 51 miles on it but have completed a few modifications. Added a badlands apex 5500 lb winch, front and rear a arm guards, side mirrors, front and oem rear cameras, sound insulated the back wall and roof, added a full turn signal kit and took the rear door stops apart, modified so the doors open 4" farther Turns out these are now legal on the county road, in both towns south and north of me but not on the hwy.

A thanks to enemy for selling me his offroad GPS. I mounted it above the mirror. Going to out it to use in a couple national forests doing some scenic trail riding.

First and foremost its to push snow, haul brush, level the white rock drive.... general work around the place and up in our families ranch.

Break in is 120 miles. Have put 80 miles on it on 2 weeks.  There is a couple places in state but most are in the surrounding states. The utvs are now legal on the county roads here and on most small towns. Provided one has proof of ownership, insurance, license, turn signals with hazards horn and an orange flag on the rear a min of 5' off the ground. Beyond that, want to run some trails in the black hills of SD .  Joined the black hill or group on FB to check out some of the trails they have run and reported on. This pic shows this guys 4 day trip. Apprx 750 miles of trails he ran. The lime green is needles hwy, southern Custer Park loop and mountain man road, paved roads. With the turn signal kit I can get a street legal permit up there to use the hwys to jump from trail to trail and legal in the towns.
