i actually watched these on your channel last night again lol damn nice run, i can't wait to run it myself!!!!! a fella i know from salt lake city should be running up to fun for a day. he and his buddies go up there 3 or 4 times a years for quite a few years. he posted a video following a group. not sure what part of the dunes but i like this part of the dunes. fabr....fast.....any idea on where these are at?

Naw there on the far south side just to the west of Elgin lake headed west. Actually it is a service road on the south edge. They turn around about mid way west and come back to the south side of Thunder Mountain dune. They never really got up into the tall dunes.
I watched that again and your right fabr! they are headed south from Sand Hills Resort. The give away after watching it was the lava rock bed at .10 and 1.18. I always like that run in the morning to get me warmed up for the big dunes. And they run in a long bowl just to the east of Thunder Mountain right at the end.

At 8.21 in the vid you see the south east side of Thunder Mountain just to the left of the screen.

I'm thinkin the sand looks too smooth, too fast, too many people; therefore I probably won't like it. :'( :'(

well that long bowl looks like the perfect spot to run 5th or 6th at 8k to 10k rpm ;D ;) ;)

Full helmet only in new car when duning but save-phace mask in current car and putzing around in new car.

the save face masks do get hot on a hot day so i couldn't imagine how hot a full helmet would get. i have never really felt i needed to wear a full helmet but then again i have never driven hard and fast on the dunes ;D ;) it is always a good idea to wear a full helmet but for those of us that don't want to, the save face masks are great imo
