« Last post by DeepBusch69 on March 13, 2018, 09:33:42 AM »gm uses a 50 amp fuse on the eps. the controller has a thermal switch that is supposed to trip at 45 amp i think. the factory wire gauge that came with mine as i bought the whole colomn was 8g. i didnt realize that until after i had ran the wire. so i left the 10g in but i only run the controller at 50% to 75% assist so prob ok. full assist is a bit to touchy for me on gravel roads. 50% works best there and between 50% and 75% works perfect for me in the sand.Thanks. I was told that my eps runs 18.3 amps. It only came with a 12 gauge wire, but it is about a foot short getting to the power box. But then they have a 40amp fuse at the motor. That doesn’t seem to match up?
