I was thinking if I could find some longer CV bolts I could thread them to the M10x1.5??Chris
Me and master are talking about redrilling and taping new holes between the existing holes.
works, but IMO does not provide a better sealed CV joint from the back side of the flange
I don't see an alignment ring on the outer edge of the flange, is this normal? I would think you would want one to keep the bolts from letting the cv walk around if they loosened up. just a thought!
That's why you have fill the old holes, so dirt/sand don't get into the cv joint.
Edge plans do not provide this part or have it in there plans with the ring. I have been puttin them on mine just recenty. Never did have an issue though without the ring.fill them with sand sorry could not help it
it's the little things that make things a hole lot better!
I agree totally on higher HP stuff for sure.100-150 horse it might not be a big deal but even then I'd not use a flange without the lip myself.
Tidbit of info from "The Samba" site if you should wish to just go buy some socket head capscrews at your local supplier." CV bolts are grade 12.9 " Pay attention to that and do not settle for a lesser grade.
