What is the prevailing consensus on best 630 chain? Going to need to buy one soon. Thanks
-
630? Todays 530 have plently strength. Longevity is in lenght, 530 will have more links. And you have plenty of distnce between sprockets.

EK 530 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The More Z's the better ;D

I thought that is what came on the Jeffco. Anyway last rail I built had a 520 chain lasted 1.5 rides before flying off.

I have some new 530 EK ZZZ if interested. I don't run roller chain anymore. A couple rivet masters also I think.
-
Dont forget spare master link. I flung a rivet master at south camp last trip. And for some reason never had problem with clip on.
Measure sprocket to be sure. 630's for bike may be tough to find. Sprocket people are cousins to rebar people. Those ##'s are in 1/8"'s. first is pin to pin, 2nd is side to side.

A properly assembled rivet master is as strong as the rest of the chain. If you don't have the correct tool to use a rivet master a clip style will work but at a reduced load capacity. Remember ,a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
