You're a wise man. ;)

Sidewinder was the best chain I ever ran.  Normally o-ring but if the chain is getting too hot then orings fail.  Your gonna spend $100+ on chains, either on a bunch of cheap ones, or on a good one.  It is the same.

i'm pretty much more concearned with stretching and sprocket wear than with the price... to a point.  i see alot of o-ring gold plate, blah blah chains on ebay, but i guess im just not sure what im looking for. i dont wanna spend 120$ on something thats gonna stretch and ruin my stuff after 5 rides either.

If the chain is short you're going to get shit for life from them.

anyone see a problem with carls first link to the smartchain ll??  i could spring for 150$ if it means hassle free..  my chain is not long but its not short either. going around a 14 front and 60 rear, with about 9 to 10 inches in between the front and rear sprockets..

Short chains burn up...that we know..
Your problem is just that Vood's...IMO...
I'd prolly just go with less expensive chains...But I live less than a mile from Dennis Kirk's scratch and dent store...
If you want I can take a look and see what they have on the cheep

What is the setup?
Are you running to an FNR? HP/Ft-lbs? Distance between sprockets? sprocket Tooth #?

Any pics?
How hard do you ride (leisure or race)?

I am interested in understanding this problem for my own build. Obviously you have a chain issue, please elaborate.

sorry, overlooked the given data. 14-60 for tooth and 9-10 inshes btwn sprkt.

That's not much spacing.
