The straight across paddle tires will take more power than the v shape paddle tires. 8) 8) 8)

You want the paddle to bite in the sand, but still have the power to spin them from 1/2 throttle and up. 8) 8) 8)

currently running 22x12-10...  kenda bear claws..  1st gear is pointless in almost any terrain just spins..  2nd to 4th will spin also if i want..  flying down the gravel roads i can kick it sideways in 6th gear....

i just bought those new tires that are 25x10-12... so not sure how those are gonna be with my current gearing..

i assumed you would want a slightly smaller paddle tire than your regular tire, since youd need the lower grunt, and dont need the top end speed as much??

Do they offer different paddle heights? That will made a BIG difference too.

If you don't want to spend the money on paddles those tires will work. You will want to run them backwards and you will have to pick and choose were you go at LS. If I was you that's what I would and that will also give you an idea what you car will do on the sand. 8) 8) 8)

If you stay out of the silt in a few area you will be fine with the bearclaws at LS.

Yeah I ran a similar tire backwards on mine for two trips.  No problem climing any dune, 2nd 3rd.  Theres some real soft shit on a few of the trails, dont stop on them.  Theres some on Ebay company called Far East.  Not best but there cheap.  Also cheack out Glamis Dunes.  Its where I got mine at.

I have gone without paddles before. I ran a nearly bald tire. Floated on top, did real well till I hit the silt. Then it just dug in quick! You just have to use your head a bit more on where you stop and keep up your speed for the climbs. That said, after running with paddles I would be hard pressed to go back. On my old car it was a night and day difference. Just another 2 cents for ya. If you can I would get the paddles.

might have some extra side work coming up this week.. if so I can get the paddles.

Ive just been extra leary of spending to much money because work has been really slow and I dont wanna short change myself incase of emergency..

that being said, id like to get the kind i need picked out.  so the straight across paddle design will be better than those fancy styles?
