Left handle master cylinder
« on: March 15, 2011, 08:47:03 PM »
Looking for a left side master cylinder that has a parking pin. Does someone know where I can find such a thing? Must be left side. And also must have a parking brake option. The closest thing I can think of is off a polaris xlt brake master cylinder. But looking for a bike application.

Why wont the Arctic Cat one work?  It looks like it has a lock on it.

I don't know of any bikes that have a brake on the left hand....  And there is no reason to lock the clutch so I think it will be hard to come by one off of a bike.

However like the Arctic Cat you found most every auto clutch four wheeler that I have ridden has a brake on the left and has a locking parking brake on it.  However some are cable brakes and not hydraulic so that Arctic Cat one is looking pretty good to me.

You SAID you wanted a left handed one. That's a right side unit.

schematics looks to be a left handed unit..... look at the curve of the lever and the position of the plunger and where the lock is...  left handed unit.

It is indeed a left hand master cylinder. Here is the same master cylinder but with different size handle. This one is junk and is for mock up.
