Buggy rollers
« on: November 06, 2009, 11:28:41 AM »
Going to make me some wheel dollies so I can move the buggy around the shop. Want to use 4 casters on each assembly in total have 4 dollies per buggy. What casters would be enough to support the weight of the buggy and yet still move over dirt on the floor? Or should I just buy these?

Unless you need a project just to fill some time just buy those. I have the same ones in black that I bought as a set of 4 for a hundred bux about 4 years ago that have served me quite well.

1,000 pounders should be more than enough for the buggy. Then I could use them for the cars also.

They don't work well for regular cars. You have to buy some real good ones. DS got some from work. Good for a rail but did not like the cars, just did not roll. Dirt floor you need some tall wheels and even then I don't know that I would try it.

Actually not. Car has 65k original miles, 351C with automatic. Needs little TLC, like carb cleaning, new fuel filter, and new air cleaner. I will post a pic when ever this snow and salt leaves.

I bought similar rollers from Harbor Freight and the casters broke off the first time I used them.
