The best for you ,IMO,would be a decent name brand MIG. Look around local welding supply shops and see if they have a good used/trade in unit possibly.

Can your machine run gas? What kind is it if so? A decent Miller/Lincoln/Hobart ,even a 110 model will weld the size tubing you will be using just fine.

Here's a very nice unit. Not exactly cheap but it will make you look like a pro. Plugs into a regular wall receptacle also. No need to run a new circuit and makes it usable anywhere. Probably be able to readily sell it when done with it also. I'd look around for something similar used first tho.

Look at my link for a very nice unit price. You should be able to get it for a bit less. No ,don't buy tank, lease it.  WHat kind of steel? Mild or 4130? Gas depends on answer.

i am not sure of what kind of steel it is but its sprinkler pipes and i think they are 1 1/4 from outside to outside and do i absolutely need the gas to make the welds/nice welds?

Nothing in this life is absolute. If you are good enough. That said I don't condone the use of the material you are using . Sorry to be blunt but I'm a bit of a stickler for safety. That fact has kept me from harm more than once including an incident less than a month ago.

Fabr, I thought it was the lucky chicken bone that kept you safe?  rofl

I bought my hobart 140 for about $450 new.  Will run flux, but comes with gauges for gas.  I bought my 4' tank for $150 and swap when empty.  Hobart is made by miller, actually the welding torch is stamped miller.  And no machine will make you a good welder, practice, practice, and maybe a class.

Black water pipe, welds like crap til you get it all clean.  But its not build for strength, its made for pressure.  And its pretty dang heavy.  I buy erw 1-1/4" .095 wall local for $24 for 24' stick.  .120 wall for like $29 for 20' sticks.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

I run a lincoln 125 and have a gas conversion. It;s basicly a lincoln 145 once you add the gas. If running flux it will weld 1/4in in a single pass and melt 3/16. On gas you'll need to double pass 3/16 and up. Runs off 110 which really helps out on trips as everyone has a 110 outlet

Water pipe is just that. You need some tube not pipe

I have a Miller 135 nice welder when it works.  I have had a lot of problems with it continually have to have the control board replaced.  I am using a Miller 250 that thing is awesome.  When using it my welds are way better.

I used a Lincoln SP-175 MIG for most of mine.  I also used a Miller Syncrowave for the TIG welding.
See you all duneside.😎🤙
