Hi just wondering what you guys were usings for steering racks and you opinions on them really ??
I was thinking something like the 11 or 14" steering rack on here

I put an 11" one in the first buggy and about had it worn out by the end of testing. Well...not worn out, but sloppy as hell. The teeth weren't bad, the bushings were. I have a 14" sitting on buggy number two that has yet to be used.
If I was doing it over, I would get a better quality set up.

have used several. if the buggy is light
600 pounds or less they are fine, alot depends on the on the geometry and of the suspention ... I'm not saying they are the best ,,,but are an easy fix to get started with...and are capable for a light buggy

Most use the center load types since it allows you to set your tie rod pivot points by using a rack adapter of the needed center spacing. You're much more limited with the end load types. IMO all are cheesy at best.
