"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

No shit! Engineers seem to have forgotten how to make cars serviceable. What was wrong with the good old SBC filter location. Facing down with nothing underneath it. Not hidden up behind the steering over the top of the cross member. 5:

The college boys that design the shit have never actually spun a wrench.  If the computer says there's enough room to fit it in then they're good with it. Access? Naw as long as the robot can put it in when it's on a stand they've successfully designed a mounting location.
If there was anyone ever listening when I work on a new car they'd hear a whole lot of " *&&%$##@ Stupid College boys".

On a Mercedes you are supposed to pump the oil out the dipstick.  That's just flat stupid.

If the designers had to actually service what they design there would be a lot of better designs  no doubt.  Lance is right about the robot stuff and it is only going to get worse.

Only good thing about Ford 6.0.  Oil filter mounts center top of motor.  Except when little check valve mech goes bad and it empties.  But they not suppose to start if that happens.

You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.
