Ok, it's time to get a date set for a spring trip, if we want to find some open spots there. Easter and snake is late this year.
I was looking at April 25th thru 29th (probably really rough sand due to snake hunt the week before)
Or May 2nd thru May 6.
Or May 9th thru the 13th does have a full moon?
What do you guys say?

Jerry, Mitch and Mike will be there. I can not find a spot there all full. If I can squeeze on someones lot I'll come down for Friday Saturday and Sunday. Maybe Thursday. If not I just flat bed the car down for a day run Saturday. I think Ron Mayfiled will be there also. (MoRon)

Jerry will leave in the morning and make it down. My family is dealing with Sylvia's brother who is in the hospital given 12 to 24 hour's to live. Only 67 years old but he has abused his lungs by smoking, even after finding out he was exposed to agent orange in Vietnam back in the middle sixty's working in a munitions dump, that coupled with being diagnosed a few yeas back with advanced COPD, So only one half of one lung is working an that ain't enough to sustain life. I'll see you all sometime next fall for the fall get together.
-
Sorry to hear. Wish Sylvia my best.
-
Well,I made it on 5 wheels and 6 hours. One trailer tire decided to secede from the trailer and start it's own thing I guess. Looks like tomorrow will be spent working and making drive to Woodward to fix the damn thing. Oh. Well, there's always Fri.
-
wes.....not much to say except you and trailer tires!! ;D ;D
fast......my condolences to you and sylvia, there aren't words for her and your loss however i know what it like to lose a brother far to early!
-
Fast n Sylvia, we thinking about you and family.
Ok rds love tires, lol. Get a am ride, toss on spare, fix when ya home!! Vacation time boys n gals. Enjoy and be safe.
-
fabbr did you get the tire fixed? fabr budlight hows the sand?
-
It wasn't just a tire. It was the entire hub, wheel, tire. Two trips to Woodward and 10 hours. I got lucky as hell. Bearing blew up,a first for me . The outer bearing race had galled enough to the axle that it wouldn't budge even with a big ass bearing puller. After 5 years I took the angle grinder out of trailer toolbox. Had to fooling buy a new one while in Woodward. Cheap ass DeWalt is NEVER leaving trailer. Cut the race and a couple hammer blows and just a bit of flapwheel work and I was a lucky and happy camper!!
-
Oh yeah, I haven't seen a grain of sand outside of camp yet. pl.gif this shit!!
-
i blew a couple tires on the way to the sand once don`t ever want to deal with that again!

Sand Report Sir! The sand was as smooth as I have seen it for years, Tuesday thru Thursday. Great weather, just some rain at night on the first 2 days. I broke my intercooler mount twice, welded it twice. Mike broke his intercooler mount, we made a doubler repair. Jerry clubbed a tree and bent his rear 5 link. Next night he turned it into a 3 wheeler. Then we had a hellavu time finding camp. That was late night. Overall, it was a GREAT trip!
-
Damn! I left too soon! What happened to Jerry's car?
-
And fabrs new cars is a frickin monster!

Spindle broke. Had been broke for a long time just was time for it to finish coming apart. Time to take our spindle's off and have them maged.
-
Was he able to drive it out? It looks like the car may be leaning too much to do so?
-

Yep drove it out was the easy part, getting it in the trailer, not so much.
-
Well I impatiently waiting on pics, but not the 3 wheeler one! Night speeds are usually less so that's good, but getting it out at night not so much fun. But hey I lost a rear wheel last time at night, thought that was gonna be much worse. Always a good time!!!!!!!!
-
were you there fast? sounds like i really missed a good time. with a little luck iall have the new header in 1 week and then can make my downpipe and external wastgate. still have to do the engine wire harness. jerry was fast leading you on a night run rofl rofl
-
and what carl said....wheres the pics and video

i`ve been wanting to see this monster in action real bad. so does the quality of fit and finish live up to fabrs reputation,

Yea, there is no lack of detail, systems and craftsmanship. He don't do anything half assed. And the size of the suspension, wow! I think he could just take the tree out of the way. And he is already talking about tweaking this, changing that, you know, always wanting it better. It is way cool 8)

Yep I was there!!!!!!!!!! but after the carnage. I came in Saturday morning for a day trip and seen Jerry's car under a tarp setting at a funny angle. No I wasn't leading but Jerry got to ride shot gun in a good car Saturday morning. ;D giggity

-
I can't even use a calculator..................
-
The beast didn't go inside the gate. I made a couple hot laps around the kiddie track @ Dueces though.Cut some nice roost ruts. ;D ;D I came back to put the whips on and noticed the dry sump pump "wiggling" around more than usual so being overly cautious I decided to bring it home to investigate cause/fix. $30K motor,I didn't feel like risking it. After the trailer fiasco,I didn't like my chances.
-
Well ,it only took all afternoon and evening but I found the source of the pump wobble. The Front Runner system is flexing ever so slightly at the PS pump and allowing the dry sump pump to move with it. Nothing a few hours on the mill won't cure though. I'll make one bracket to do the job of two brackets. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.Simple fix ,just time.WHEW!!!!!!
